Balenciaga tiger striped detail creation - First get a length of felted wool bonded to what they refer to as a “mousse” (not of the hair or pudding variety, obviously), and laser-cut it into the required pattern pieces. Sandwich said pieces between two layers of nylon cellophane knit. Then create the tiger stripe by embroidering through all the layers of the hybrid textile using contrast threads: one viscose, creating shiny blue areas, and the other woollen, forming plumped up matt lilac ridges that rise from the fabric like long, thin rippled sand banks at low tide.
